Positive: Charming historic building in the middle of a huge park and golf course. Huge rooms, comfy beds, grand bathrooms. The decor is dated but charming, you feel like a time traveler. The staff is nice and accommodating. The owners are Italian and the restaurant serves basic Italian food, decent pasta and pizza.

Negative: Communication. The manager's German is poor - particularly over the phone - so I didn't know until I arrived that I really did have a private bathroom.

Positive: Unfortunately the hotel was not open on the day we left ,so breakfast was not available. But we had a meal the night before that was great . So I feel sure the breakfast would have been excellent as well . Very friendly and helpful staff even gave us a key to let ourselves out and lock up in the morning .
